Canoeing and Kayaking:
Float in the path of history down the North Branch of the Susquehanna
River in the Northeastern section of the county. Here, in 1778, General
James Clinton led a force of 1800 men from the headwaters of the
Susquehanna River at Otsego Lake, NY, along the North Branch to join
with Major General John Sullivan on Sullivan's March - a military
campaign against the Iroquois nation.
Experts can challenge the white waters of the Upper Lackawanna River in Forest City.
