| A number of large general hospitals are located in Scranton, Binghamton, Carbondale and Sayre.
One or more is within easy driving distance of any part of the county. Physicians’ clinics are
located throughout the county. Medically-related professionals (optometrists, opticians, podiatrists,
chiropractors and others) are located in the larger boroughs. There are a number of eldercare facilities
in the county and most are low cost in comparison to their urban counterparts. |
