The Prothonotary creates and maintains accurate civil court records (including, but not limited to: civil law suits, judgments, municipal, State and Federal liens) and collects and accounts for the distribution of revenues (filing fees, poundage, writ taxes, children’s trust fund, judicial computer project fund, and UCC surcharges) to the County and State.

 The Prothonotary is elected to a four-year term.
