NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE AND PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENACT
NOTICE is hereby given that Susquehanna County will hold a public hearing regarding an amendment to the Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance of Susquehanna County. The public hearing will take place on December 29th at 1:00 pm. in the Commissioners' conference room, Susquehanna County Courthouse, 31 Lake Avenue, Montrose, PA 18801.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Susquehanna County Board of Commissioners will consider the adoption of the proposed ordinance titled as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF SUQUEHANNA COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING ITS SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE REGARDING THE DEVELOPMENT, CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION AND DECOMMISSIONING OF COMMERCIAL-SCALE DATA FACILITIES IN THE COUNTY (Ordinance #2026-1) immediately following the public hearing scheduled to be held at 1:00 pm. on December 29th in the Commissioners’ conference room, Susquehanna County Courthouse, 31 Lake Avenue, Montrose, PA 18801.
This proposed ordinance would add a new Section 713 to the County’s existing Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance (Ordinance #2005-1), while retaining those sections of Ordinance #2005-1 that remain unchanged. Ordinance #2025-01 will provide for the development, construction, operation and decommissioning of Commercial Scale Data Facilities in the County, definitions, applicability, general standards, accessory uses, dimensional standards, landscape buffers, noise and vibration, water and sewer, mandatory cooling system requirements, state permits and certifications, chemical handling, energy efficiency and waste heat recovery, emergency management, signal interface, parking, decommissioning and insurance.
